The Program Manager is responsible for all facets of execution on a long-term contract for an established multi-national customer.

The team member will be expected to leverage their supply chain expertise, leadership skills, and deep understanding of customer operations to deliver a complete work product to customer, vendor, and internal stakeholders to help best position WESCO|Anixter to be successful on long term supply contract.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between customer and internal team executing work
  • Responsible for the overall profitability of the program
    • Wesco’s Return on Sales
    • Wesco’s Return on Tangible Capital
    • Program Revenue Growth
  • Responsible for working with various Wesco functional leaders to ensure the smooth operation and daily execution of all tasks within the program
  • Strong understanding of commercial priorities, supplier capabilities, and customer requirements
  • Responsible for managing a team of direct and indirect reports who complete:
    • Maintain Vendor Price agreements and master price file for program
    • Responsible responding to RFQ for the Program
    • Tracking Budget vs. Actual Cost delivery on projects
    • Assist in processing PO from Customers
    • Lead sourcing engagements and sourcing teams in qualification and quote response
    • Responsible for maintaining Vendor Price agreements and master price file for program
  • Develop escalation contact with suppliers to focus on potential opportunities and identify risks resulting from market shifts and supply fluctuations
  • Responsible for working with functional leaders to ensure the smooth operation and daily execution of all tasks within the program
  • Assist in processing PO from Customers

Education & Experience

  • Proven ability to drive and demonstrate results both financially and strategically
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences
  • Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual - able to motivate him/herself and others; easily accepts constructive input from others
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to partner with people throughout the organization
  • Possesses, or able to quickly develop, a clear understanding of suppliers, customers, and Anixter’s program responsibility
  • 3-10 years of sourcing-related experience, particularly in electrical MRO programs
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or related work experience, required
