Demand Creation Outside Sales Representative

  • As a Demand Creation outside sales representative, you will sell services, concepts, ideas and products to a wide range of Network Infrastructure, Security, Video Surveillance, Wireless, Power, Access Control, Professional Audio/Video and Security end users.
  • You will be expected to effectively communicate with your end user customers to help guide them with their upcoming projects, leads, data centers and other areas of need.
  • You will work with facilities management, IT departments, Security lead personnel, Data Center Groups, plus others within the end user organizations.
  • As you develop and build upon your end user relationships, you will become a trusted advisor for them as they seek out contractors and integrators to help them successfully turn their vision and projects into reality.
  • You should possess knowledge of our industry, the market, as well as various manufacturers and rep firms, plus you will ask open ended questions so as to best align your customer with the best overall solution.
  • Becoming a trusted advisor will also help you navigate your customers through any history that may be relevant as you are helping align them with the right contractor or integrator.
  • Communication skills will be important as you collaborate with fellow Anixter employees and our vendors to win business and deliver upon performance KPI’s.
  • You will work with your peers on our outside Channel team to drive project business, plus collaborate with other Anixter resource team members when necessary.
  • You will help discover and vet out potential leads for Anixter and its partners, and then effectively communicate with all parties to win new business.
  • To be the most successful, you should be skilled at building strong relationships, earn loyalty and retain good customers.
