Qualifications:

  • A successful candidate will be a key member of the Global Strategic Solutions Team, who will combine strong technical skills with business acumen and effective communication skills to bring complex data-driven solutions to life.
  • The role requires an individual who has built end-to-end BI solutions and is highly motivated to take the responsibility for BI solutions from conception through to successful delivery.
  • The BI expert will engage with multiple stakeholders within the organization to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with unparalleled attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Evaluating business processes to uncover areas for improvement to develop and implement solutions
  • Developing sophisticated solutions, KPIs, and tools to achieve and support the business goals
  • Visualizing data to tell a story that allows the end user to make informed decisions and take actions
  • Ability to stay up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize tools and processes
  • Considerable interaction with other departments will be required
  • A natural self-starter, you have a passion for using data to drive business decisions, are comfortable with writing SQL queries, data mining and visualization techniques.


Position Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing, developing, and deploying Business Analytics Dashboards using Microsoft BI technologies including SQL Server, Power BI, Excel etc.
  • Build compelling, interactive and actionable reporting on top of structured data models that helps in deriving meaningful business insights from large, complex datasets.
  • Supporting the full BI lifecycle from requirements analysis through design & development, and through release and support/maintenance phases
  • Gather requirements and design reports/custom sales analysis tools for the Global Sales teams.
  • Some of the reports that will be required but not limited to this set are:
    • Daily/weekly/monthly performance reports for key performance indicators and provide analytics on them.
    • Sales reports for monthly/quarterly/annual forecasting for area wise Business Reviews.
  • Gather, publish & maintain information related to historical, current and future performance.
  • Compile and analyze data on historical sales and trends to forecast future trends.
  • Collaborate on identified ad hoc business problem-solving requests.
  • Train team members/ users on Power BI tool, dashboards and reports, as required by Global Solutions team.

Requirements:

  • Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study
  • Programming background/knowledge preferred (SQL, Python, DAX, R, M)
  • Experience with Power BI (preferred) or other visualization software
  • Knowledge of star schema data modeling a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerApps and/or Flow a plus
  • Knowledge of SSRS and Report Builder a plus
  • Intermediate/expert knowledge of Access and Excel which include Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex logic statements, VBA knowledge, complex queries/macros
  • Interest in AI / ML development or knowledge of Azure Cognitive Services a plus
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Decision making skills along with strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Candidates are required to have a strong work ethic and a hands-on attitude
  • Candidate must work out of Glenview, IL office (remote option not available)
