We currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated team player as a Warehouse Lead at our Ashland, VA distribution facility. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out the day-to-day operations of one of our outbound functions and providing the highest level of customer service.

Overtime flexibility will be required for this role.

What you’ll be doing in this role:

Typical warehouse duties will include, but will not be limited to: directing and advising the daily activities of a team of warehouse associates. Ensuring that new and experienced employees perform duties with a high degree of safety, service and quality. Provide proper training and development for warehouse associates. Ensure workflow for facility meets performance expectations and all customer orders are processed properly and on-time. Provide basic feedback to team on performance. Know when to escalate issues to your manager for assistance.

In addition, this role is responsible for:

- Maintaining inventory and service levels to meet all necessary customer requirements and delivery deadlines;

- Stock replenishment and cycle counting;

- Handle material shortage requests;

- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision;

- Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers;

- Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments; and

- Follow company safety policies and procedures.

What it will take to be successful in this role (Qualifications)

The successful candidate must have a strong background in all areas of warehousing including shipping, receiving, inventory and quality control. You must also be a strong leader. You know how to influence your team and motivate them to follow you through all phases of business.

In addition, the candidate must demonstrate the following qualifications:

- 1+ years previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing or retail company a plus.

- Demonstrated and prior experience operating forklifts and/or other powered industrial equipment required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and walk throughout an entire shift.

- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, generally an entire shift (8+ hours per day).

- Demonstrated math, counting, reading and writing skills.
