Project Implementation Manager


WESCO/Anixter is seeking a Project Manager II (Presales SCS costing Analysis) with primary responsibility to provide operational labor and packaging estimates and costs to perform work outlined in a Supply Chain Services (SCS) projects. This involves extensive knowledge of vendor products and assembly process with technical training in electrical, electronics and/or computer background.

The Successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Well-rounded knowledge of Anixter vendor products with assembly procedures.
  • Extensive PC skills including a working knowledge in configuration of computers and cameras
  • AC and DC wiring knowledge
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics/drawings
  • Use of AutoCad
  • Proficiency with Anixter’s WMS or WMX / Mainframe, CORE systems
  • Strong Customer Service perspective
  • Operations understanding and experience
  • Communicate effectively with multiple departments connected to a project (Program Development, Sales, Project Services, Inventory Management, and Operations)
  • Detail-oriented with strong written documentation skills
  • Adept at problem-solving
  • Flexibility with multi-tasking as you will work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Provide technical support for warehouse(s) handling Supply Chain Services (SCS) projects.

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years experience with Anixter warehousing/operations
  • Previous hands on Supply Chain Services experience
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience in troubleshooting technology (basic electrical, networking, IP configuration)
  • Previous project management or manufacturing engineering experience a plus.
  • Continuous Improvement experience (Lean / Six Sigma) Yellow or Green Belt a plus


This position is located in Alsip IL with alternate locations available including Reno NV, Atlanta GA, Dallas TX, and Cranbury NJ. Remote work can be considered for this role.
