JOB TITLE: Senior Specialist.Marketing, Brand Governance

Job Summary:

Leads the design, creation, development and delivery of marketing programs. Plans the strategy to support the growth and expansion of company products and services, and to attract customers to company website, online presence and promote products or services. Creates, conveys brand messages and improves brand awareness. Analyzes statistics and identifies areas to optimize marketing performance. Develops marketing content and explores sales channels. May coordinate involvement in conferences, exhibitions and marketing seminars. This role can be based out of headquarters in Pittsburgh or Chicago and is not a remote position.

Detailed Description:

· Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Marketing Communications and Brand Strategy, support brand strategy, visual identity management and implementation, and adherence to brand architecture through a complete articulation of standards, guidelines and specifications.

· Manage brand migration, launch and sunsetting programs, including overall project plans

· Guide the organization with clearly documented governance processes and confidently recommend changes to meet brand governance standards if criteria is not met

· Participate in the assessment of current and future needs regarding development of brand identity

· Consult with key internal stakeholders (creative, subsidiaries, product groups, digital marketing, business marketing) to ensure consistent application of enterprise brand strategy and architecture

· Oversee corporate trademark and domain portfolio and brand governance budget

· Monitor, review and respond to band governance related requests

· Oversee monitoring and remediation of external infringements

· Manage the Brand Governance budget and related budget reporting

· Build and develop relationships with key internal and external partner groups to ensure brand standards compliance are met

· Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of marketing and brand projects and provide insight on how to improve effectiveness

  • 4 to 5 years required, 6 years preferred of product, brand or related marketing experience, preferably in Fortune 500 company.

  • A proven track record of building and managing a successful brand governance program
  • Experience in brand governance or brand specialization work with Fortune 500 level B2B companies
  • Knowledge of brand and visual identity purpose, standards and guidelines
  • Understanding where flexibility is called for versus rigid standards
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and people skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels in the organization
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, with a customer-centric focus and commitment to quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently but a collaborative nature
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), working knowledge and basic- to intermediate-level HTML or wordpress skills.
