CCTV Product Support Specialist – Video Surveillance Technician

Global electrical distribution services provider seeks motivated & detail oriented Product Support Specialist with expertise as video surveillance technician. This position would be located in our Reno, NV warehouse.

Position Profile

The Product Support Specialist will the be the subject matter expert for video surveillance and will have the responsibility for answering tech support calls, emails and troubleshooting with customers.   • Assist internal employees with product related questions
  • Perform quality control related tasks for incoming Northern Video products that come into the Reno, NV warehouse
  • Answer tech support phone calls and emails to troubleshoot customer problems
  • Perform Teamviewer related tech calls for when logging directly into customer products
  • Generate BOMs for complete Northern systems for End users and Internal customers
  • Provide ticket numbers for product returns if necessary.
  • Evaluate Northern Returns to our Reno warehouse.
  • Perform Northern recorder build related tasks.
  • Assist with creating instructions for customer set up guides and walkthroughs.
  • Assist product manager with testing product samples for consideration into the Northern line.
  • Support Operations with scrapping defective product quarterly in the Reno location


  • Must have hands on experience with both networked and HD Analog video surveillance products
  • Must have a working knowledge of IT networks and infrastructures
  • Must be self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
  • Detail orientated with a focus on customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
