The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for the operational procurement and the management of planning exceptions to ensure high customer service and working capital optimization. You would also be responsible for daily collaboration with suppliers to ensure the inventory plan is executed flawlessly.


  • Release purchase orders
  • Review planning exceptions and work with suppliers to manage ship dates, coordinate expedites and rescheduled orders to keep supply chain moving; provide unmatched customer service while meeting working capital objectives.
  • Reduce the amount of excess & obsolete inventory by utilizing vendor return programs as well as negotiating special returns and finding alternative outlets
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers; Monitor key supplier performance metrics including on-time delivery and lead time variability, as well as lead times and capacity
  • Collaborate with sales, accounts payable, operations, product management, finance, and the inventory planning team to solve issues and improve customer service
  • Question and address inconsistencies and uncertainty in supplier performance and effectiveness, collaborating in strategy with the inventory planning team and product management.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree; supply chain related certifications or coursework in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or Economics is a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, including Access and Excel. Previous experience with planning applications such as Oracle or SAP is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with high standards of accuracy and quality. Detail oriented with strong decision making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both internally and externally, ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
  • Have excellent customer service skills – able to resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner
