Senior Director Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO)

With the recent acquisition of Anixter Inc., WESCO is embarking upon an exciting multi-year Integration and Transformation. To deliver on synergy commitments the company will be undertaking and end to end Digital and IT transformation while also executing other strategic initiatives such as Pricing Optimization; Shared Services transition and Supply Chain Network Optimization.

The newly created Strategy Realization Office (SRO) has enterprise oversight for Portfolio & Program Delivery; Organization Change Management & LEAN/Business Process Management functions. This role will report to the VP of SRO and lead the Portfolio and Program Delivery function for the enterprise.This role will have full accountability in successfully delivering the Strategic Enterprise Initiatives to meet or exceed synergy commitments. Position Description:
Your Leadership Partners

The Strategy Realization office reports into the Chief Transformation Officer (CTO). You will work with the Executive leadership Team (CTO; CDO; CFO and others) who will be executive sponsors for the Strategic Programs. You will collaborate with the Integration Management Office (IMO) Leaders to ensure alignment to financial objectives. You will also collaborate with our Strategic Partners and System Integrators to ensure successful delivery outcomes.

How You will be Successful:

  • Leadership
    • Work with key Business and Technology stakeholders to drive the setup and execution of program roadmaps for key Strategic Programs
    • Build and leverage core EPMO Processes and Tools to ensure delivery outcomes
    • Collaborate across the enterprise to leverage relationships in managing risks
  • Strategy
    • Develop and implement the future state strategy for the Enterprise PMO, under the overall Strategy & Transformation area
    • Collaborate with key Stakeholders to develop the Agile COE and roadmap to support the overall Digital Transformation
    • Serve as an enabler for innovative solutions and foresee risks in delivery
    • Develop and enable process improvements champion standards and operational health for the Enterprise PMO projects & programs
  • Talent Development
    • Evaluate talent; coach and mentor team to build a world class portfolio & program delivery organization with a specific focus on Digital dexterity
    • Coach and mentor team and organization on EPMO value proposition

Your Experience and Education:

  • Demonstrated prior experience and track record in successfully building Enterprise PMOs from ground up, in Fortune 500 companies. Familiar with setting up Global Project Intake; Resource & Capacity Management and Prioritization processes
  • Proven deep experience in building and executing Agile Frameworks including Scaled Agile Framework (SaFe). Experience in rolling out PPM Tool in an Agile Framework a huge plus
  • Proven experience in directly managing large complex transformation programs such as full stack Cloud Technology Platform Implementation specifically within a product lifecycle management framework
  • Significant experience in leading a diverse team of 20+ Project/Program and Portfolio managers to deliver project outcomes
  • Strong social confidence and tenacity; polished & persuasive communicator and presenter, specifically to C-Suite members
  • Strategic mindset to envision the future and translate into tangible plans
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology or related field; MBA or advanced Business degree preferred
  • At least 15+ years of progressive and relevant leadership experience in developing high performing teams and delivering complex initiatives
  • PMP/Scrum/SAFe certification preferred
