Position description

The Global Account Manager will develop and drive strategies to influence the purchase of Anixter products and services within the assigned Security Integrator/s. This will include the identification, qualification and development of key relationships through a variety of methods: face-to-face meetings, industry/trade shows, vendor alignment and general networking all in an effort to meet sales goals. You will manage the entire sales process from initial contact, relationship development, needs analysis, proposal, pricing/bid process, contract negotiation/management. By coordinating the necessary internal and external resources, you will be responsible for the ongoing engagement with your account(s). This includes the development of business relationships and the ongoing creation of incremental business that will meet (or exceed) your sales goals.

  • 5-7 years of demonstrated success in strategic selling to large corporations.
  • Experience selling services in a technical field.
  • Excellent presentation skills as well as verbal/written communication skills.
  • Must have a record of success in achieving annual sales targets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and foster internal and external business relationships to achieve results.
  • Must be fast-paced, goal oriented individual who can provide world-class service to our customers.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Self-directed and well organized.
  • Team player with skills to manage virtual teams.
  • Ideal location is South Florida but can be based anywhere along east coast.
  • Travel – 50%
