We currently have an opportunity for highly motivated team players as a Warehouse Associate at our Woburn, MA distribution center. In this role, you will be working in our order picking, inventory or cutting departments to ensure best in class service.
Additionally, you will be expected to cross train in other departments to help grow your career and ensure our customers orders are processed on time.
The expected hours for these positions will be 9:00am - 6:00pm
Pay for these positions will be $15.50/hr. These positions will also be eligible for Anixter benefits such as; Medical, Dental and 401k.
Responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to the following;
- Picking materials as requested by customer orders;
- Using an order picker forklift, identify material and pick the appropriate quantities;
- Best in class wire and cable processing;
- Perform warehouse tasks as needed in other departments;
- Complete in line QC audits;
- Research inventory discrepancies;
- Conduct inventory audits;
- Communicate with Supervisors and Hourly Associates to ensure inventory and quality standards are achieved;
- This is a limited list of responsibility meant to create an idea of the position duties and responsibilities. More duties can be expected by the incumbent.
The successful candidate must have:
- At least 6 months prior work experience in warehouse, retail, manufacturing, or production.
- Experience in warehousing, distribution, production, retail or manufacturing preferred.
- This position will be based inside the warehouse. Must be willing to work in a clean, 5S warehouse environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to lift, bend, reach, push, pull, squat and walk throughout a shift.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, generally an entire shift (8+ hours per day).
- Demonstrate prior experience operating forklifts and/or other powered industrial equipment.
- Demonstrated math, counting, reading and writing skills.
