Due to the continued growth of our business we are currently seeking a highly motivated team player to join our dynamic team as the Regional Operations Manager in our Sydney office located in Silverwater.

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the primary responsibilities for the role include;
 

  • Manage Operational conformance and procedures to increase efficiency and internal control adherence

  • Manage and oversee warehouse operations and cost management

  • Hiring and managing staff throughout the region and comfortable in managing remote staff/locations, including team development and growth within the organisation

  • Work closely with sales to help understand and satisfy customer requirements. This requires the candidate to have good communication skills to be able to work effectively with Sales and Customers.

  • Manage the implementation of value-added logistics services for our customers in our region

  • Review and manage monthly P&L's and offer strategies for improvement to ensure centre budgets are met/exceeded

  • Maintenance and monitoring to ensure compliance of all Anixter policies

  • Oversee and manage the National operations and warehouse functions in Australia & New Zealand

  • Documentation of Process and Manage the ISO requirements, disciplined change, re-training process that may result from improvements.

  • Generate monthly reports for all our locations and have regular reviews with the Location Managers

  • Work closely with corporate and finance to find alternate facilities when we have out grown them, build CAPEX supervise fitting them out and getting them functional.


Desired Skills & Experience Required

  • Experienced in managing locations remotely

  • Possess good working knowledge of computerized operations systems and PC Skill (MS Office - excel, access, word and power point).

  • Be hands-on and a self-starter with demonstrated maturity, possess initiative and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment.

  • Good organization skills.

  • Able to build a strong cohesive team and provide leadership.

  • Be able to travel, as required within Australia and New Zealand
