We currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated team player as a Warehouse Lead at our Salt Lake City facility. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out the day-to-day operations of our ICQC department and providing the highest level of customer service. This position will play an integral role in maintaining our high inventory and quality goals.You will act as a key member of the leadership team with significant opportunity for growth and advancement. Overtime flexibility will be required for this role.
What you’ll be doing in this role:
As a group lead, you will be responsible for leading by example and setting high ethical, moral and performance standards for your team. Typical warehouse duties will include, but will not be limited to: directing and advising the daily activities of a team of warehouse associates. Ensuring that new and experienced employees perform duties with a high degree of safety, service and quality. Provide proper training and development for warehouse associates. Ensure workflow for facility meets performance expectations and all customer orders are processed properly and on-time. Provide basic feedback to team on performance. Know when to escalate issues to your manager for assistance.
Additionally, this role will be responsible for:
- Maintaining inventory and service levels to meet all necessary customer requirements and delivery deadlines;
- Stock replenishment and cycle counting;
- Handle material shortage requests;
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision;
- Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers;
- Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments; and
- Follow company safety policies and procedures.
What it will take to be successful in this role (Qualifications)
- The successful candidate must have a strong background in all areas of warehousing including shipping, receiving, inventory and quality control.
- You must also be a strong leader. You know how to influence your team and motivate them to follow you through all phases of business.
- 6+ months previous experience in a lead warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing or retail role a plus.
- Prior experience within Inventory or Quality.
- Demonstrate prior experience operating forklifts and/or other powered industrial equipment.
- Demonstrated math, counting, reading and writing skills.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to lift, bend, reach, push, pull, squat and walk throughout a shift.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, generally an entire shift (8+ hours per day).
- Work within a warehouse environment for an entire shift.
