
User Experience Architect

Description
Anixter is looking for an experienced UX professional. In
this role, you will collaborate closely with product owners, developers and
business stakeholders to design easy-to-use web and mobile experiences to
delight our customers and improve business performance. You’ll help shape our
customer-facing digital tools and the way we approach research and design.
What you’ll do:
Provide leadership and direction for the design
of our customer-facing digital tools
Develop a UX strategy, along with a plan for
iterative updates to continually improve Anixter’s digital customer experience
Create UI designs; from wireframes through hi-res
mockups
Design experiments and prototypes for concept
testing and use-case validation
Partner with Product and Development leadership
to ensure projects are well-defined, have high impact, and are successfully
executed
Work in-step with Product team to ensure that
projects and design decisions are aligned with customer and business needs
Who you are:

What you’ll bring:
4+ years in a UX/UI role
Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, Human
Computer Interaction or similar field
Proven experience creating wireframes and
interactive demos
Experience collecting and interpreting user
research to inform design
Familiarity with technical aspects of User
Experience across desktop and mobile
Experience closely collaborating with product
and engineering teams
Proven experience contributing to a large-scale
product evolution, from concept to post-launch
Agile development experience preferred
Experience in B2B ecommerce preferred
