Inventory Program Support Analyst

Position Profile:

Anixter is seeking a supply chain analyst to join our Inventory Management Group in Glenview, IL. We are searching for an individual with exceptional communication skills, positive attitude and exceptional time management skills to join our team. The successful candidate will play an active role in the set up and maintenance of new and existing customer centered programs. An ideal candidate will be able to use systems to develop business goals in alignment with contractual agreements as well as provide great internal support for our sales team. Individuals with strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to problems should apply. This role entails a large amount of correspondence via email and phone. Clear and effective writing and verbal communication are essential to the success of this role.

As a supply chain analyst, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for ensuring adequate inventory levels for customer programs, managing the movement of goods between distribution centers, and supporting the needs of the sales representatives within your designated accounts.

Additional responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor overall inventory requirements for program portfolios. This includes the execution of pre-sales inventory risk analysis, processing new inventory requests, part activation, and monitoring inventory excess and obsolescence.
  • Managing the purchase order lifecycle for all program specific bill of materials. Lifecycle includes monitoring a daily buy list, purchase order submission to vendors, shipping confirmations and expedites, resolving pricing and receiving discrepancies, and entering internal stock transfers as needed
  • Work with sales, accounts payable, operations, product management, finance and project management to solve issues and improve our quality policy

Requirements:

  • Service-oriented individual that possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn key systems, efficiently multi-task, resolve problems in a timely manner, and adapt to new technologies are musts.
  • Possess excellent communication (verbal & written) and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability analyze discrepancies and provide solutions.
  • College degree in a related field and/or 2-5 years working in a supply chain role
  • Previous experience with purchasing or customer centered account management is preferred.
