Inventory Management Intern

We are seeking an inventory management  intern for our Glenview, IL location.  This individual will assist in communicating and working with our sales and product marketing organizations, vendors and operations group to provide exceptional customer service in the order placement and fulfillment process. 

 

Specific duties for this position may include:

 

- Maintaining adequate inventory levels across multiple warehouse facilities

- Placing, confirming, and expediting purchase orders with various vendors

- Coordinating purchases to meet customer forecasts

- Analyzing inventory levels and placement while reducing excess

- Resolving inventory, warehouse receiving and accounts payable discrepancies

- Regular reporting to management on inventory turns and performance

 

Requirements:

All candidates must have strong PC skills and be able to work independently in a fast-paced team environment. They must be effective communicators who have excellent people skills, are analytical, detailed-oriented, able to trouble shoot, multi-task, problem solve and “think outside the box.”
