Anixter Inc. is currently seeking a highly skilled End User Compute (EUC) Engineer to join our team. The EUC engineer will be responsible for design, implementation and support of Windows desktop OS Deployment, Application Deployment, Windows 7/8, Windows 10, Browser (Chrome, IE,  Edge) Support, Office ProPlus, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).

 

Technical Requirements:

 

You must possess a minimum of 5+ years experience in the following:

·         Expertise in architecture and design of enterprise desktop deployments and processes especially for Windows 10

·         Ability to effectively lead clients through detailed assessment and design processes for desktop and related infrastructure deployments.

·         Experience with Windows 10 servicing and updates

·         Experience with Windows 10 Enterprise features including security, Bitlocker, Conditional Access, etc.

·         Experience with automated deployment methodologies (e.g., ZTI/LTI and AutoPilot) and application packaging / distribution

·         Experience with Windows 10 desktop analytics – Upgrade Readiness, Telemetry, etc.

·         Experience with Office ProPlus including Click to Run functionality.

·         Experience with SCCMs including assessment, design, pilot upgrades/implementations

·         Strong Knowledge of web browser configuration and support

·         A working knowledge of application virtualization solutions such as Microsoft Application Virtualization (SoftGrid/App-V), ThinApp and Symantec Virtualization.

·         Strong proficiency with scripting languages, multiple packaging / deployment applications, and distribution methods

·         Experience with assessment tools such as Microsoft MAP

·         Experience with MS application compatibility toolkit (ACT 5) and similar, Windows Desktop tools such as AppDNA and/or ChangeBase.

·         Expertise with latest Windows 10 Image Design and Deployments

·         Experience with design, configuration, and deployment of o365 applications especially Teams and OneDrive.

·         Microsoft Deployment Toolkit

·         Task Sequencing

·         Hardware Driver injections

·         Language packs

 

 

 

 

Education/Certifications:

  • MCSE
  • Bachelor’s degree, technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Additional certifications in operating systems, databases and programming languages a plus

Additional Skills

  • Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.
  • Opportunity to use your superior customer facing and technical skills including ability to develop “trusted advisor” relationship with Enterprise customers
  • Project Management experience a plus
  • Excellent assessment of customer's environment prior to migration.
  • Project plan development.
  • Documentation for migration plan.
  • Development of deployment and test plans.
  • Experience working as a team leader within a process/project-oriented organization.
  • Significant experience within a large scale Windows Enterprise customer/employer
  • Experience with software package builds for use with GPO deployment methods
  • Methodical approach to problem solving and resolution.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities.
  • The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team consensus to move forward.
  • The Consultant must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in an organization; develop procedural documentation; develop and conduct effective presentations; effectively demonstrate products and solutions; and be able to write customer proposals
