Profile

Anixter is seeking a Senior Financial Data Analyst to support the Industrial and Commercial segments of the Electrical and Electronics Solutions (“EES”) business in the US. The position will report to the Finance Manager of US EES and will be located in our worldwide headquarters in Glenview, IL. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Monthly internal reporting requirements as developed and outlined by Finance and Sales leadership
  • Collect data requirements, determine technical issues and design reports to meet department needs
  • Develop and maintain reporting to measure KPI’s that conveys data in a clear, dynamic and actionable manner for internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with cross functional colleagues to educate and provide decision support with operational reporting
  • Align reporting to support finance agenda and initiatives
  • Analyze current processes and structure in order to facilitate and implement continuous process improvement in the areas for which they are responsible
  • Identify new sources of data methods to improve data collection, analysis and reporting
  • Manage competing priorities and deliver results
  • Ability to mentor junior team members on technical aspects of reporting

Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 3-5 years or more of relevant experience
  • Experience with analytics and ability to communicate with internal stakeholders
  • Ideal candidate possesses decision making skills, while also having strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Candidates should have strong work ethic, ability to self-manage, and motivate and possess a hands-on attitude
  • The candidate should be proficient in SQL coding and have experience extracting business intelligence through Power BI or similar platform
  • The candidate should have intermediate/advanced knowledge Excel & VBA macros
