Résumé de l’offre :

Notre succursale de Montréal est à la recherche d’un Directeur sénior des opérations. Le titulaire du poste devra créer et maintenir un environnement de travail positif conformément avec les buts stratégiques d’Anixter et s’assurer que les politiques, procédures et protocoles de l’entreprise sont respectés.

Responsabilités

  • Gère les activités et les processus en conformité avec les Politiques, procédures et les standards de l’entreprise.
  • Assume un rôle de service-conseil, de support et d’expertise fonctionnelle auprès de tous les gestionnaires;
  • Dirige les suivis périodiques avec ses employés afin de les impliquer, les informer et orienter leurs actions en fonction des priorités de la direction;
  • Gère les ressources humaines, financières, matérielles et informationnelles requises pour les activités du personnel sous sa supervision.
  • S’assurer du bon déroulement des opérations et de la santé et sécurité des employés dans le maintien et l’application du programme SST ainsi que les politiques et procédures en vigueur; agir comme membre du comité SST;
  • Participer à la gestion des relations de travail;
  • Maintenir le plein rendement des équipements par un programme de maintenance préventive;

Profil et compétences recherchées

  • Baccalauréat en gestion des opérations ou ingénierie ou expérience équivalente;
  • Minimum de sept (7) ans d’expérience dans un poste similaire;
  • Bilinguisme (français/anglais ; oral/écrit)
  • Habileté marquée pour les relations interpersonnelles;
  • Habilité à travailler dans un environnement où les priorités changent constamment.

Job Summary:

The role requires this individual to lead the Montreal Operations Team and to create and maintain a positive environment in accordance with Anixter's strategic goals, and ensure that all policies, procedures and adopted protocols are respected.

Job duties

  • Ensure the timely achievement of department goals, within prescribed policies, procedures and standard business practices;
  • Manage warehouse supplies and work in conjunction with supply partners to address and correct inventory issues and recommend process enhancements to improve inventory levels
  • Personnel Management; responsible for supervising warehouse employees, setting objectives, managing performance, reporting hours for payroll, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, recruitment and on-boarding, and all other management duties
  • Ensure the performance of quality audits and cycle counts, investigate, implement corrective action and follow up on effectiveness for all problem orders
  • Ensure that all preventative maintenance requirements for all mechanical/electrical system and equipment is evaluated/documented and performed;
  • Support implementation of policies and procedures
  • Provide support to management teams and employees in the area of health and safety

Job Requirements:

Reporting directly to the Regional operations manager for Eastern Canada, the successful candidate for this position will possess:

Experience & Schooling:

  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years recent relevant warehouse supervisory or management experience
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Experience managing workflow and setting objectives in a distribution setting
  • Experience in a union environment

Job-specific knowledge:

  • Well-versed in provincial employment and safety legislation
  • Microsoft office suite and inventory management software
  • Strong financial management capabilities
