The Senior Cost Analyst will be responsible for the management of costing within our systems for a defined list of vendors. You will work collaboratively as a business partner with Marketing, Sales, Inventory Management, Business Management, Finance, Accounts Payable, Corporate Accounting and our Vendors.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cost Management
- Analyze, Research, and Upload Vendor Cost Files
- Security Vendors may include cost management of tier partner programs and promotions
- Identify and update systems for Cost Increases/Decreases/ and New/EOL Parts
- Manage and update Standard Costs per established strategy
- Respond to general cost questions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on costing strategies
Data Integrity
- Align costs with Marketing Brand Strategies
- Research and build Unit of Measure Conversions
- Duplicate Part Resolution
- Provide Content for Marketing Memos
- Work with multiple teams on Brand Audits across multiple systems
Financials:
- Price Protections – Identify cost reductions, calculate price protection for submittal and advise functional teams
- Negative Variance – Identify and research negative variance billings and resolve with functional teams
- Cost Discrepancy Resolution
Qualifications & Skills
- Ideal candidate is required to possess decision making skills along with strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates are required to have a strong work ethic and a hands-on attitude.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize meet deadlines and deliver on commitments.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities
- Willingness to work in a collaborative environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Aptitude to learn new software programs
