We currently have an opportunity as an Regional Operations Manager who will be responsible for 5 locations in Western Canada. Reporting to the Area Vice President Canada, you can anticipate about 30% - 50% travel to the 5 locations in your area.

In addition to the description above, this role will be responsible for:

* Performance management of 5 locations

* Serve as a liaison and build meaningful relationships with; Leadership peers, sales teams, customer service, transportation, facilities, finance, audit teams, corporate quality and other Anixter teams.

* Plan, develop and manage budgets, P&L for facility, and be responsible for long-range planning, cost saving initiatives, production efficiency initiatives, employee/labor relations, and overall warehouse oversight.

* Evaluate and implement new procedures, prepares cost projections, lead maintenance activities and analyze site performance.

* Direct and oversee programs to ensure safety of all associates, equipment and property. Ensure compliance with all company, customer and government/regulatory requirements.

* Monitor and develop staffing plans to ensure proper staffing levels -- manages labor costs, overtime and retention.


What it will take to be successful in this role (Qualifications)

* At least 2 years prior work experience.

* Prior experience leading a team of salaried employees.

* Ability to travel at throughout Western Canada least 30% - 50% of the time.

* Stable work history. We’re looking for good people who want to stick around for a while and be part of our Anixter family.

* Must have determination, sense of urgency, strong customer focus, willingness to work hard.

* You need to be reliable with an ability to prioritize. You’re not afraid to drop what you’re doing and switch to another task, or even travel to another location at the last minute.
